"Twin Falls" Short Film Trailer
"Twin Falls" is a short film I wrote, directed, produced, and edited. It's currently in the festival circuit and so far played at The Cleveland International Film Festival, Fort Myers Film Festival, Ohio Shorts Film Festival and the Big Lens Film Festival. It won the Audience Award at the Ohio Shorts Film Festival by a unanimous vote. We made a movie people wanted to watch...and they enjoyed it. I count that as a huge success.
"Homophobia" Short Documentary Film
I hesitate to even post this on my website because it's a pretty divisive topic and can make things get pretty heated, very, very quickly.
This short hybrid documentary is a portrait of one of my friends who has decided to live out his sexuality based on the principles he finds in the Bible. He says some pretty bold statements about his life and his beliefs--and some of the statements may rub you the wrong way. But several questions arise. Is living in a way counter to your feelings ever healthy? Or is it a bad decision? Is John choosing this life for himself, or is it the pressures of his Christian-based environment? Are John's words harmless or the biggest danger facing freedom and sexuality today?
"Homophobia" won the Audience Award at The Wexner Center for the Arts Annual Short Film Festival.
